Here's to New Chapters

As I write these words, it's March and more snow is predicted.  Thankfully the worst of the bitter winter has passed and we're looking forward to the renewal of Spring.  For senior adults, the snow and cold of winter too often mean extended time spent within four walls.  It isn't surprising that seniors experience more difficulties with their health in the winter - but it doesn't have to be that way.
There are plenty of options available to seniors instead of being confined to their home.  My favorite choice includes a senior living community where services are provided and friendships are formed. Activities, socialization, education, and physical exercise contribute to the longevity of a person's life. Statistics have shown that seniors who live in a retirement community live a longer, healthier and happier life.
Making a lifestyle change like a move to a retirement community can seem overwhelming and several people put off making a decision until a serious issue forces their hand.  But please don't wait! A new chapter of your life is waiting to be written and explored.
